Why this site exists
Most online PDF converters follow the same script: upload your document to an unknown server, wait in a queue, hit a daily limit, then get pushed toward a subscription. For a task as ordinary as pulling text out of a report, that is a lot of friction and a lot of trust to hand over.
Every tool here does its work with the same technologies your browser already uses to display PDF files. Your document is read from disk into the tab and processed there. It is not uploaded, not queued, and not stored.
What we focus on
We would rather do nine conversions properly than forty badly. The tools we build target the formats that developers, students and researchers actually need: text, CSV tables, Markdown for AI workflows, semantic HTML, SVG, and clean PDF output from notebooks, HEIC photos, HTML files and plain text.
Each tool page explains what the conversion really does, where it works well, and — just as importantly — where it does not. A scanned PDF has no text to extract, and we say so instead of returning an empty file with no explanation.
How it is funded
Because conversions run on your device, the running costs of this site are close to zero. That is what makes it possible to offer the core tools free, with no account and no page limits.
To keep the tools free, the site may display advertising served by Google AdSense.
